Lockers and trunk rooms available from a few hundred yen per month

公開日: 更新日:

Hello! 😃

On an unrelated note, what do you do with items you don't normally use?

  • You have some items you want to put away for a while.
  • But not enough to rent a storage unit.
  • And packing them up and sending them to a storage service is a bit of a hassle.
  • But lockers can't be used for long-term storage.

Do you often find yourself in situations like this?

In life, there are surprisingly many things you can't throw away but don't have a place for, and it can be a bit stressful, right? 🙂

Actually, there's a theory that the large number of vacant houses in Japan is because owners use them for storage.

On the other hand, for people living alone, items they don't use but can't throw away are a headache.

While holding onto things provides a sense of security, there's also the dilemma of a shrinking home and tedious management. 💭

So, how about a long-term locker that can be rented for a few hundred yen and also used as a delivery box?

Functionality Image

  • Imagine it being placed in an empty space in a nearby store or a vacant parking lot.
  • Contracted users can open and close it using a QR code or passcode on their smartphone.
  • If using "delivery mode," it's possible to lock it after putting items inside.
  • The fee changes according to the period, and payment is deducted from a credit card upon retrieval or after a certain period.

Safety Measures and Rules

Of course, it's not good to have inappropriate items, so we will prepare terms and conditions similar to those for regular storage units.

Therefore, we will make a clear list of prohibited items and require agreement to the terms of use.

Also, the idea is to have certain monitoring and recording, such as activating surveillance cameras in "delivery mode."

Camera footage and access logs will be stored appropriately with privacy considerations and used as evidence in case of trouble.

Who Benefits?

Don't you think it would be a small side income for owners of small shops or vacant spaces?

For people living alone or those who want to temporarily store seasonal items, their home will be tidy, and they'll feel more at ease. 😀

By effectively utilizing vacant spaces in the community, the entire town might become a little richer.

Emotionally, it would be nice to moderately alleviate attachment to objects and the anxiety of "I might use it someday."

Easy to use and quick to retrieve when needed. There seems to be demand for such a "gently supportive" service. ☺️
