In Japan, there's an incredible number of yuru-kyara (mascot characters) all across the country. Each local government and company creates their yuru-kyara with great affection.

However, most of them are never even known to the public.

And even if you do become a fan of a character, isn't it often the case that the level of interaction is limited to "if you're lucky, you might find merchandise at a local souvenir shop"?

In fact, especially with yuru-kyara from local governments, to enhance their public relations or for procedural reasons, it's often possible to create merchandise without usage fees, as long as it doesn't violate public order and morals.

There are also some that have already been made into merchandise and can be procured.

Therefore, if we gather yuru-kyara from all over the country with the policy of simply accumulating a large number, and allow fans to introduce their favorite characters to other fans, wouldn't it be possible to increase the recognition of each yuru-kyara and also raise the happiness level of their fans?
