A platform and events for proposing products to top retailers (including private labeling)
公開日: 更新日:Hello! 😃
Today, I'm writing about product proposals from manufacturers and trading companies.
Manufacturers and trading companies are constantly striving to sell great products, aren't they?
There are various sales channels, and e-commerce is common nowadays.
There are company websites, malls, and products can even sell through social media.
I find this expansion really interesting ☺️
Even so, I still believe that the king of kings is the retailer.
In terms of stability, advertising power, and convenience, it's still the strongest.
It will probably remain the strongest forever... 💭
Among them, major retailers are overwhelmingly powerful.
The meaning of being on their shelves, the trust, and the frequency with which customers see the products – it's still a big deal.
That's why I know that companies are contacting major retailers every day, trying to get them to sell their products.
But this is really tough 😂
In reality, it's quite hard for manufacturers to get their products into retailers.
- No connections in the first place
- Even with connections, it's hard to get them to notice the product
- It's hard to even get to a meeting
- The explanation time is very brief
- The transaction terms are naturally set by the retailer, so they are often unexpected
This process is really tough, and even with great products, you can get exhausted before even getting them on the shelves.
If this part were easier, I'm sure there would be many more products that wouldn't get buried.
That's when I think:
Since retailers also want to source great products, wouldn't it be good to have an opportunity for direct, collective proposals? 😀
For example, a platform where manufacturers and trading companies can register themselves.
First, it would contain data that retailers can quickly browse.
- Product overview and features
- Target audience
- Displayイメージ
- Ability to order 1 or 10 samples
- Quotes for 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 units
- Other special conditions
If the necessary information for initial consideration were organized like this, it would be much easier to view, wouldn't it?
It would be easier for retailers to compare, and manufacturers wouldn't have to explain the same thing from scratch repeatedly.
That's why I think the chances of a product and a retail space finding each other would increase slightly.
And furthermore, retailers could pick out interesting products, and then as an event, manufacturers and retailers could gather in one place for simultaneous presentations.
Seeing the actual product, getting a feel for it, and seeing immediate reactions would be a big deal, wouldn't it? ☺️
Moreover, if private labeling were also considered, the conversation could expand further.
Here, if existing wholesalers could assist with account handling and such, everyone's future business relationships would also expand.
It would be wonderful if all parties involved could share responsibilities without undue burden.
